Our Story

Built in Durgapur, for the careers Durgapur deserved.

Sugam Academy is starting in Durgapur with a founding belief that refused to go away: the gap between a textbook chapter and a real job offer was rarely about intelligence. It was about who stood in the gap to guide a learner through it.

Right now, many of Durgapur's brightest MBBS aspirants and pharma-bound graduates have to travel to Kolkata or beyond for serious, outcome-focused coaching. We're here to change that — starting with a single Medical Representative batch taught by people who are still working the job they teach.

Our goal is for the first batch's placement results to become the standard every batch after it is held to. Not a slogan — a number we intend to prove quarter after quarter, starting with our founding students.

Every cohort's results and placements will be tracked and reported internally — the same 90%+ goal we state publicly is the number our own faculty will be measured against.

Batches stay small enough for a faculty member to notice which week a concept stopped making sense — instead of waiting for a result to say so.

A serious career shouldn't require relocating to a metro. We bring metro-grade faculty and infrastructure to Durgapur instead.

Founding MR batch — enrolling now

Our first Medical Representative batch launches in City Centre, Durgapur, taught by faculty with real industry experience.

Phase 2

MBBS programme, from day one

Subject-wise coaching for MBBS scholars runs alongside the MR track, taught by practicing clinicians.

Phase 3

Building our placement cell

Setting up dedicated placement support and campus-drive processes so every graduating batch has somewhere to walk into.

Phase 4

Forming pharma partnerships

Actively reaching out to pharma companies to build formal hiring relationships for our students, targeting 40+ partners.

Phase 5

Allied health track

QP-CC and allied healthcare programmes introduced to widen career pathways beyond MR and MBBS.

Phase 6

Growing our alumni network

Every batch we graduate adds to a network we're building from scratch — starting with our founding students.
